TaskSMASH is a simple and lightweight tool to get stuff done by using three key productivity tricks: The Minimum Tasks Habit, Don't Break the Chain, and Accountability.

The Minimum Tasks Habit

Some productivity systems focus on planning out your entire life in a todo system. That's great, and it works for some people, but it's easy to get bogged down and fall behind. The Minimum Tasks Habit, instead, is the habit of writing down just 1-5 things that you MUST do that day for it to be a productive day. TaskSMASH makes it really easy to add these items to your list, whether you add them before you go to sleep or first thing in the morning. Better to stick to a simple habit than fail to stick to a complicated one.

Don't Break the Chain

When asked how he's so productive, Jerry Seinfeld said that he gets a big calendar and crosses off each day with a big X if he gets writing done. Once he has a few X's he has a chain, and his only goal is to not break the chain. TaskSMASH puts a star on your calendar for every day you complete your tasks and counts how long your streak is. Accountability

When we're accountable only to ourselves it's easy to slack and put something off to the next day. When you know your friends are watching and monitoring your progress, you're more likely to stay on the ball.
